IDF/ISO Analytical Week
3 - 7 June 2013, Rotterdam, THE NETHERLANDS
The IDF/ISO Analytical Week 2013 will be organized and hosted by the Netherlands National Committee of IDF in worldport city Rotterdam from 3-7 June 2013.
Welcome to the Netherlands!
A whole world class dairy chain is there within a range of only two hour drive. The low-lying pastureland sets the scene with its cows that dominate the Dutch landscape. One third of the country’s total surface is used for dairy farming.
The Netherlands counts 1.4 million dairy cows and 300.000 dairy goats on its 18,500 dairy farms where they produce lots of milk. With over 12 million tonnes, the Netherlands is the fourth milk producer but the first dairy exporter of the European Union. The major part (60%) of Dutch dairy production is exported; it is the homeland of the famous Gouda Holland cheese.
The IDF/ISO Analytical Week 2013 will be held in Rotterdam, a young, dynamic, international city with a passionately beating heart. With over 600.000 inhabitants Rotterdam is the second largest city in the Netherlands.
The early records of Rotterdam’s history date back to 1270. Currently the city is one of the largest ports in the world and the home base for many important industries. Rotterdam is also notable for its spacious designs, its modern, innovative architecture with spectacular, ultra-modern high-rise buildings on an ever evolving skyline.
The congress hotel is situated on the banks of the Maas from were Rotterdam grew to become a metropolis.
