Workshop on Standard development and collaborative studies
Workshop on Standard development and collaborative studies

Monday 23 May 2011 16.00 - 18.00

This workshop is a continuation of the workshop held in 2009 in Sochi, Russia and is intended to be an refresher (and introduction) to the design and organisation and analysis of interlaboratory collaborative studies as part of the process of developing an analytical method.

This workshop is intended to:

1 - Clarify the procedures, and where the organization of collaborative studies fit in the process

2 - Provide, by means of a hands-on exercise, experience in the collaborative study design and the analysis of the data collected.

The agenda for the workshop is:

• Purpose, principles, process (15 minutes – Harrie van den Bijgaart)

• Explanation on the exercise (10 minutes – Rob Crawford)

• Split up and preliminary data analysis in groups around pc's, 4 people each 30 minutes

• Reporting back and discussion (30 minutes - Rob Crawford)

• Final data analysis (15 minutes – Olivier Leray)

• Final discussion and wrap up (remaining time - panel under moderation of Rob Crawford)

Participants are invited to bring their laptops to this workshop.

Preparation: We recommend that participants review the presentations that were presented at Sochi. These presentations can be from be downloaded from the IDF Intranet (login required):
